Mitacs Activity: ACCRU and U15 Comparison

During the 2025–26 fiscal year, ACCRU member institutions accounted for roughly 1,000 projects, 3,000 internship units, and $43.3 million in delivered award value, representing approximately 15% to 16% of national Mitacs activity across these indicators. By comparison, U15 institutions accounted for roughly 3,000 projects, 10,200 internship units, and $155.4 million in delivered award value, representing just over half of national activity.

On a per-institution basis, U15 institutions averaged 203 projects, 679 internship units, and approximately $10.4 million in delivered award value, compared with 27 projects, 81 internship units, and approximately $1.2 million among active ACCRU institutions.
